the extension of the 100 foot road to the old frontier line
will involve no further heavy engineering work nor resump-
-tions of property. The improvement at a cost of $6,800 of
telegraphic communications between the Harbour Office and
the Stations from which the approaches of Ships to the
Harbour are notified to it was approved in your Despatch
No. 154 dated the 4th. August, 1905.
Under Drainage Work, a commence-
-ment is to be made in the erection of the new flushing
tanks dealt with in Sessional Paper No. 31 of 1905, of
which copies are being forwarded to you under cover of my
Despatch No. 241 of the 5th. instant.
The new Miscellaneous Works for
which provision is made include Electric Fans for Queen's
College ($2,500) required for the comfort ofthe Masters
giving instruction there, the erection of permanent survey
marks for traverse survey points in the New Territories
($11,000) to which I referred in the first paragraph of my
Despatch No. 420 dated the 19th. December, 1904, the re-
